2018 PCIT World Congress

„Heading for New Shores“
Schweinfurt Germany / June 26–28, 2018

With a success story starting in the US in the early 1970s, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is now a well-studied empirically supported intervention for children ages 2-6 years and their families, and is striving to become the first evidence-based trans-diagnostic therapeutic approach for this age group. Moreover, PCIT is delivered with fidelity in more than ten countries across four continents.

Bringing together clinicians and researchers from all over the world, this first PCIT World Congress is titled “Heading for New Shores”. In line with this theme, the congress will focus on discussing, developing, and teaching promising approaches to bringing PCIT and its incredible benefits to new populations all over the world.

Convention events will include workshops, research presentations, case discussion sessions, and much more.

Congress languages will be English and German.

Regardless of whether you are brand-new to the PCIT community or a decades-long member, come join us for this ground-breaking endeavor in the picturesque city of Schweinfurt in Bavaria, Germany! Nestled in the idyllic Main valley, the former imperial town Schweinfurt is now known as the place where industry meets art. Its surrounding area is characterized by its mild climate, wine and vegetable farming, and its charming hilly landscape offering high leisure value.

We very much look forward to meeting you here in Schweinfurt.

Best,

Wolfgang Briegel, MD
